Nurture Nature

**Nurture Nature has now partnered with a wonderful ministry, Gleaning the Harvest. A Christian ministry, Gleaning the Harvest supports widows and single mothers, as God calls us to do in James 1:

“The religious observance that God the Father considers pure and faultless is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being contaminated by the world.” James 1:27

This is my seedling attempt at my dream store. I have wanted for a very long time to have a store that catered specifically to natural parenting/living. There is nothing like this yet in Jacksonville, leaving people searching to find all the items they need, and certainly never finding one locally that houses them all.

In addition, and of much more significance, I wanted this store to be affordable. Certainly we would all love to buy everything we see in the latest magazine, the eco-friendly crib or those cute witty saying onesies, but truthfully only a small few of us can afford all those “luxuries”. I do not fit into that category. I have spent much of my 20s as a single mom to one, and now 3 boys. I have champagne taste and never more than a beer budget (usually, the cheapest 40oz). So I wanted to create what I have always wanted and offer items just as cool as any other ritzy boutique, just as eco-conscious, and even more so because 90% of them are truly recycled, used, pre-owned, or however you choose to phrase it.

So comes the birth of Nurture~Nature, my humble internet-based business, though local to Jacksonville. If you are reading this now, you are seeing the infant stage of what I hope will be something profoundly impactful.
